Farewell, Tita Cory

I join the whole country, the whole world at that, in mourning the passing of our beloved former President Corazon C. Aquino (1933-2009).


Let her memory, along with what she did to save the country from the grimaces of dictatorial rule, live in our hearts, FOREVER.

    it is unfortunate that Cory spent her time in office trying to stabilize the political process in general -- slowly shifting to the right to appease the military (this was no fault of her own). it is also sad that one of the only policy pinnacles of her administration, agrarian reform, exempted Hacienda Luisita from its ambit.

    @ line of light, true, i have much to say about the CARP and what it did to our family personally, but still Tita Cory is Tita Cory... [the link is my own little tribute]

NAG DESISYON na ang Korte Suprema na labag sa Konstitusyon ang ordinansa na nagbabawal ng short time sa mga motel sa siyudad ng Maynila. Wala na ring balak pa umanong maghain ng apela si mayor Alfredo Lim sa naturang desisyon. Nagbabala naman si Lim na handa niyang ipasara ang anumang motel sa lungsod ng Maynila sakaling may makita sila na pinapayagan na magpapasok ng mga estudyante para magshort time. Pero, teka, ito talaga ang pakay ko, ang mga lumang sinehan sa Metro Manila. Who Is Marco Morales?

by Reign Loleng Last week, I was able to see a movie called “Booking” and boy was I disappointed. I meant to write a review the film, but during my research I was more interested with its lead star – Marco Morales. I googled him and boy was I overwhelmed with the throng of blog articles (and pictures) about him. Who is he? A friend told me that he was once a part of GMA-7’s Sunday afternoon show SOP and was a singer and a member of a boy group SOP Showboyz. So is he a singer? Not quite. I checked his filmography – not much there – and I noticed that he has appeared prominently in three films - “Booking”, “Butas”, and “Walang Kawala.” All three films are independently produced and let’s be frank about this, they all sell sex. Of the three, “Booking” and “Walang Kawala” are gay-themed and I happened to have seen both of them. So he is actor, then? Let’s check.
